The Banqueting Hall – styling Warwick House’s main room

The Banqueting Hall is Warwick House’s main event space, and the room where The Wedding House has the most direct styling experience. It’s a chandelier-lit space with its own bar and dance floor, plus a terrace overlooking the gardens. The venue itself describes it as a blank canvas, and many couples use it for ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception all in one room.
From our own experience styling this room, a few things work particularly well. Tall florals on the tables draw the eye up under the chandeliers and give the room presence without crowding the table itself. Glass charger plates add a sense of grandeur to each place setting, and candles bring warmth as the light changes through the afternoon and into the evening. Floral dressing on the railings also finishes the room nicely, carrying the eye through the space.
For one particularly memorable wedding, we went further still: chair decor, table centrepieces and flowers in the trees outside, for a couple who wanted every part of their day to feel considered.
One thing worth knowing if you’re planning your wedding here: Warwick House provides its own in-house styling for the foyer staircase and for chair dressings, so these are two areas we don’t supply directly at this venue. The venue’s team covers that beautifully, which leaves us free to focus on everything else: florals, table styling, centrepieces, and candlelight.
For exact guest capacities in the Banqueting Hall, check directly with Warwick House. These vary depending on your table plan, and we’d rather send you to the venue for a confirmed number than estimate one here.

The Warwick Room – styling Warwick House’s intimate space

The Warwick Room is Warwick House’s smaller, more traditional ceremony room, suited to intimate weddings. We haven’t yet styled a wedding in this room, so this is our recommendation based on similar spaces.
Our recommendation here is to keep things simple and let a handful of well-chosen pieces do the work. The room already has its own character, so the aim isn’t to fill it but to complement what’s there. Candlelight and considered florals at the ceremony focal point, thoughtful table styling rather than anything oversized, and finishing touches such as napkins, chargers and a little signage tend to look far more elegant here than an attempt to fill the space.

Outdoor ceremonies at Warwick House

Warwick House’s grounds also offer a licensed outdoor ceremony option, set within the venue’s landscaped gardens. As with the Warwick Room, this is our recommendation based on similar outdoor spaces.
We style outdoor ceremonies to work with the setting, not against it. The grounds already do a lot of the work, so a strong ceremony focal point, such as an arch or floral feature marking where the couple will actually stand, plus considered aisle styling, is often enough.
Weather is the main practical consideration for any outdoor ceremony in Warwickshire. We always recommend planning an indoor contingency, and where possible we style so that key pieces can move indoors with the ceremony at short notice.

What we’ve learned styling weddings at Warwick House

Couples planning a wedding here tend to ask us the same handful of questions: how much decor they actually need, what to spend their budget on, whether a table will look bare without something on it, and whether ceremony flowers can be reused in the reception.
The honest answer is that Warwick House’s rooms don’t need decorating from top to bottom. A large part of our job is reassuring couples they don’t need to decorate every surface. The Banqueting Hall’s chandeliers and the character of the grounds around an outdoor ceremony already do visual work before we even start. Ceremony florals can usually be moved into the reception space, which is one of the simplest ways to stretch a styling budget.
Real venue styling expertise comes from having physically worked in a room: understanding its scale, its natural light, how it turns around between ceremony and reception, and what actually photographs well. Warwick House is a good example of why that matters. The Banqueting Hall, the Warwick Room and an outdoor ceremony in the grounds all need a genuinely different approach.

What sells well at a Warwick House wedding

Based on our experience styling here, the pieces that make the biggest difference are ceremony florals and a statement arch for an outdoor ceremony (Wedding Arches), table centrepieces (Table Centrepieces and Stands), candle styling (Tealights and Candles), and finishing touches such as napkins and charger plates (Napkins and Rings, Charger Plates and Mats).
Warwick House provides in-house styling for the foyer staircase and chair dressings, so these aren’t areas The Wedding House supplies at this venue. If your budget is tighter, we’d prioritise the ceremony focal point and the tables, since these get the most guest attention and the most time in front of a camera.
What we’d avoid: choosing centrepieces purely because they look good on Pinterest, without considering table size, sightlines, or how the room actually reads on the day. More decor doesn’t automatically improve a Warwick House wedding. The venue itself, and its own styling team, already do a lot of the heavy lifting.

  5. We deliver, install, and collect on the day, working around Warwick House’s timings and its in-house styling of the stairs and chairs.
