About Cider Mill Barns

Cider Mill Barns sits on the border of Shakespeare’s Warwickshire and the Cotswolds. Formerly a working farm, the venue has been sensitively restored. The result is exposed brick and oak beams alongside floor-to-ceiling windows, vaulted ceilings, and a sense of rural calm that is genuinely hard to replicate. The ceremony room holds up to 120 guests. The Mill Barn reception room extends that number to 200 for the evening.
The layout flows from an intimate indoor ceremony space into a light-filled dining barn, with a covered Carriage Barn for outdoor overflow and a summerhouse set within a working orchard. Exclusive use is guaranteed. No other weddings take place on your date. The venue’s no-corkage policy is a practical bonus that gives couples more budget to invest in their decor.

Ceremony Styling

Arch / Statement Feature
We place a floral arch or custom structure at the focal point of the altar or front of the barn. Depending on your chosen floral range (e.g. Victoria, Nina, Jasmine, etc.), this could be lush roses, cascading foliage, pampas features, or something more whimsical.

Aisle Decor & Chair Dressing
Coordinated elements such as petals, lanterns, floral urns, plinths, or chair sashes/drapes run down the aisle, guiding guests toward your moment.

Signing Table & Accent Florals

Why This Venue Suits Statement Wedding Decor

The vaulted ceiling in the ceremony room is one of the most dramatic in Worcestershire and Warwickshire. It takes ceiling decor beautifully. Floral hoops suspended above the aisle draw the eye upward and frame the picture window at the altar end. We have also fitted chiffon drapes from the apex of the beams to create a softer, more romantic feel for evening receptions.
The wooden barn structure is warm in tone. Ivory, champagne, sage green, and rust-orange palettes all photograph well here. Bright colours, blush, coral, and cobalt, pop against the natural oak and brick. The venue’s rustic bones mean you do not need to fight the aesthetic. You build on it.

Specific Observations From Our Installations at Cider Mill Barns

The Ceremony Room

The picture window at the altar end of the ceremony room is the focal point of every ceremony photograph. Any arch or floral frame we install needs to be proportionate to it. We typically recommend a 7ft or 8ft arch here. Anything smaller risks looking underdressed against the window scale.
The ceiling height in this room is significant. Ceiling hoops need to be hung on adequate rigging. We bring our own equipment and liaise with the venue team in advance. We would always recommend viewing this space at your Cider Mill Barns show-round before finalising your ceiling decor choices.

The Mill Barn Reception Room

Floor-to-ceiling windows run along one wall. This means the lighting changes significantly between afternoon dining and the evening. Centrepieces that read well in natural light do not always photograph the same way under evening uplighting. We advise couples on this during their pre-event planning call. As a general rule, candles and reflective elements, such as crystal droppers and mirrored charger plates, perform particularly well as natural light fades.

The Carriage Barn

This is a semi-open-sided covered space between the main barn and the gardens. It works well as a drinks reception area. We have installed sweet carts and interactive hire elements here. The Sweet Cart Hire pieces look especially good in this space. The natural light is excellent, and the outdoor setting ensures the hired items photograph well without additional dressing.

The Orchard Summerhouse

The outdoor ceremony space within the orchard is serene and low-key. Decor requirements are usually lighter here; couples typically choose a simple arch or floral hoop, candle pillars along the aisle, and minimal chair dressing to keep the natural setting visible. We can advise on outdoor-safe pieces at the consultation.

Is delivery, installation, and collection included in the price?

Yes, delivery, installation, and collection are included in all hire prices. We travel to Cider Mill Barns from our Droitwich Spa base and liaise directly with the venue team on access. There are no hidden setup charges.]

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as soon as your Cider Mill Barns date is confirmed. Popular Saturdays from April to October can be reserved up to 2 years in advance. A deposit secures your date and the specific items you want. We cannot guarantee the availability of individual hire items if you wait.

Do you have public liability insurance, and is your equipment PAT tested?

Yes. The Wedding House carries full public liability insurance. All powered electrical hire items, LED dance floors, LOVE letter illuminated pieces, and any other electrical equipment  are PAT tested and certified before every event. Documentation is available on request.

Do you handle the setup and takedown?

Yes. Our team handles all installation and collection. Where possible, we set up the day before the wedding so the space is ready when the venue opens on your wedding morning. We return after the event to collect all hire items. You and your family do not need to be involved in setup or takedown.

Can we hire individual items rather than a full package?

Yes. While many couples choose a full decor scheme, you are welcome to hire individual items, such as a flower wall, an LED dance floor, a post box, or a set of centrepieces on their own. There is no obligation to book a complete package. We are flexible and will quote for whatever combination you need.
