We’ve been inspired by our recent decor setup at the beautiful Redhouse Barn, where we transformed the space into an intimate yet luxurious haven for a wedding day to remember. This blog is an in-depth look at our concept and how we brought this trend-setting vision to life, featuring our collaboration with some incredible suppliers. Every element created a magical atmosphere that left everyone in awe, from the delicate floral arrangements to the cosy and intimate seating.
We embraced one of the latest wedding trends for this decor concept: the Caterpillar look. By arranging round tables together in a flowing formation, using curved lines and strategic positioning, we created a cosy and intimate atmosphere perfect for a smaller wedding gathering. This unique seating style allowed guests to feel connected throughout the reception while entirely using the beautiful Redhouse Barn, one of our favourite Worcestershire venues, for its rustic charm and modern elegance. The flowing arrangement also ensured that every guest felt included and part of the celebrations, enhancing warmth and connection.
The tables were adorned with abundant fresh florals, including cascading arrangements of white roses, greenery, and delicate touches of gypsophila. The floral decor added softness and elegance and perfectly complemented the barn’s warm wooden beams. The arrangements included lush eucalyptus, ruscus, and ivy, adding layers of greenery that enhanced the venue’s natural beauty. The choice of white roses symbolized purity and love, setting a romantic tone for the entire event. Greenery was also used generously to bring an organic, natural feel to the decor, making the setup fresh and inviting.
We wanted to bring a fresh and natural vibe to the tables, so we added accents of fresh green apples and limes along the length of the table runners, alongside clusters of grapes, for a seasonal touch. The earthy tones and natural textures were the perfect counterpoint to the delicate florals, enhancing the feeling of an elegant garden gathering indoors. These fresh elements, including apples, limes, and grapes, added an unexpected twist to the decor, bringing in vibrant colours and a hint of playfulness that made the setting feel even more unique and personalized.
We chose elegant charger plates with beaded rims, crisp glassware, and simple yet beautiful stationery for the table setting. Each setting was designed to feel luxurious while staying true to the understated elegance of the entire setup. The beaded charger plates added just the right amount of sparkle, catching the light and adding a touch of glamour to the table without overwhelming the other details. The stationery was kept minimal yet stylish, with soft colours and elegant fonts aligned perfectly with the theme.
One of the standout features of the day was the cake table setup, which was kept simple yet breathtaking. The cake, surrounded by lush flowers, became a focal point that drew everyone’s attention. The full-length drapes behind the cake table added a sense of drama, creating the perfect backdrop for this critical moment. Guests were genuinely wowed by the attention to detail and how every decor element worked harmoniously to create a stunning visual impact.
The lighting also played a crucial role in setting the mood. Soft, ambient lighting enhanced the romantic atmosphere, with candles on the tables adding a warm, flickering glow. This created a magical environment as the evening progressed, with the candlelight reflecting off the glassware and charger plates to create a shimmering effect that was both intimate and luxurious.
